WATCH: Texas Rollercoaster Stops Mid-Ride, Stranding Passengers
What's the worst case scenario when it comes to riding rollercoasters? Well, besides anything involving bodily fluids from strangers, it would have to be ride malfunctions. Thrill-seekers at Six Flags Fiesta Texas were less-than pleased to find numerous rides out of commission, and some even shut off while people were on them!
One disgruntled visitor, Nick (great name, TBH) took to TikTok to share the unfortunate situation last weekend. Check out his video.

The caption "worst nightmare" is a fitting description, I think. Imagine having to wait in line for up to an hour or longer just to be awkwardly hoisted above all other park attendees for them to stare at and film you... horrible.
It turns out that this particular ride, the Iron Rattler, wasn't the only one with problems. According to My SA, other rides like the Boomerang were also shutting down mid-flight.
The theory as to why so many rides were having issues is due to the annual Fright Fest that runs during this time. With so many people in attendance at Six Flags Fiesta, the machines may have gotten 'bogged down'.
According to My SA, Six Flags Fiesta Texas actually responded to the backlash from attendees who feel they had their experience ruined by adding that it was not a mistake.
They said that the rides are programmed with an automatic kill switch that halts the ride in safe positions for all riders. After this happens, the rides are evaluated and inspected for safety.
The good news is that when it happened last weekend, the rides were inspected and passed off as good to go for the remainder of the weekend.
