Texas Offers Land To Trump Administration For Mass Deportation Facilities

Are mass deportation facilities coming to Texas? The Texas Land Commissioner, Dawn Buckingham, on Wednesday announced that she had sent a letter offering 1,400 acres of land in Texas to the incoming Trump Administration for mass deportation facilities.

The land being offered is located in Starr County on land that the Texas General Land Office just recently acquired. The land is being offered so that the Trump Administration can construct deportation facilities and "staging areas" in order to "carry out the Trump Administration's plans to deport illegal immigrants beginning in 2025".

The 1,400 acre ranch in Starr County is located along the border with Mexico. The General Land Office purchased the ranch in October and gave the Texas Facilities Commission permission to begin construction on a border wall.

In a press release on Wednesday, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said that she promised Texans to use every tool to gain control of the border and that is why she reached out to the President-Elect.

“As Texas Land Commissioner and steward of over 13 million acres, it’s been my promise to all Texans since assuming my role at the GLO to use every tool at my disposal to gain complete operational control of our southern border," said Commissioner Buckingham. "This is why I am offering President-elect Trump over 1,400 acres of state land on the southern border to aid his administration in carrying out their deportation plans to place the safety and well-being of all Americans first and foremost.”
