About Millie's Homemade Ice Cream & Coffee

Millie's was founded in 2014 after a fine-dining chef left his job and purchased an ice cream machine for his kitchen. The former chef, Chad Townsend, went to work creating all kinds of frozen treat concoctions that he and his wife would sell out of their home.

Once a name was made for themselves and the production became too big for their kitchen, they built Millie's Ice Cream Works. Over the years, their business continued to grow, incorporating food trucks and a presence on grocery store shelves.

Millie's has 17 store locations across five different states, with the Lubbock location being the only one in the entire State of Texas.
