Snow Coming For Parts of Texas Soon With Arctic Blast
Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that many of us in Texas will see a blast of cold weather this weekend. The cold front that is heading our way will no doubt make for a chilly Halloween, but before then temperatures are expected to plunge below 32 degrees. And the front will also bring something else, wet weather. So does that mean snow in Texas?
It's possible, but only in some areas.
For those in the Amarillo area, Friday's high is expected to around the low to mid 60's. Saturday's high is supposed to be in the upper 50's with a chance of rain. Sunday, it will be time to bundle up. Amarillo's high on Sunday is expected to be in the mid 30's with a low of 25 degrees with a chance of snow or at least a wintery mix.
For the Lubbock area high's on Sunday will run from the upper 30's to the 40's with the possibility of rain. Depending on the timing, some weather apps are saying there is a slight chance of snow or wintery mix, but it would be very light. Low's Sunday through Tuesday are expected to be below 32 degrees.
For the rest of the state, colder weather is on the way as well. Rain and cold weather will impact Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and even Houston, if you consider high's in the 50's cold (they probably do in Houston).
No matter where you are at in Texas be ready for colder weather starting Sunday and rain beginning Saturday.
