Since Labor Day, our weather in Lubbock and really throughout Texas has been pretty spectacular. There has been a slight chill and even crispness in the air in the mornings and at night.

Lows in West Texas have been in the upper 50's while high's have been in the mid to low 80's. For many who are new to Texas and even those who just can't wait for fall to arrive, this weather has been great and has probably made many people move-on from Summer and those dreaded hot days.

But I have some bad news. Those of you who thought Fall had arrived were actually tricked into what many have labeled as "False Fall". This from the meme that continue to make its way around social media saying that Texas has 12 seasons. And what we are feeling today and what we have been going through since Labor Day isn't really Fall. Instead, False Fall lulls you into thinking Fall has arrived. But starting later today and really on Thursday, a new season begins. Second Summer.

Saturday will bring high temperatures of around 96 degrees. And with Texas Tech Football kicking off at 11am, the second half of the game will be a little toasty.

Sunny skies and highs in the upper 80's to low 90's are forecasted through next week with the possibility of high's in the low 80's starting next Sunday possibly.
