A man has been arrested after being accused of running a vehicle off of a road in January. Officers with the Lubbock Police Department were dispatched back in January to the 4700 block of Slide Road.

At the scene police met with two victims who had contacted police and stated that they had been run off the road by another vehicle. The suspect, 29-year-old Louis Baldwin, is accused of chasing the victims down in his vehicle and running the suspects off the road before holding them at gunpoint.

KAMC news reports that Baldwin spoke with police and told officers that he admitted to using his car to run the victims off of the road. The police report for this incident states that Baldwin held the victims at gunpoint but did not confess to that occurring after the crash.

Baldwin was taken into custody on January 27 and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center. Baldwin was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. As per the publishing of this article, Baldwin remains in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $50,000. Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon is considered a first-degree felony in the state of Texas and if convicted Baldwin could face 99 years to life in prison.
