Large Hail Pummels Lubbock

Lubbock citizens were reminded on Friday that severe weather isn't just about tornadoes. Portions of west and south Lubbock got hit Friday evening by golfball and up to baseball size hail as a severe thunderstorm made its way across the area.
At around 6:20 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service in Lubbock tweeted a warning to those out in the City of Lubbock to take cover as large hail was moving into parts of the city. Leading up to that warning, several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings had been issued.
People in Lubbock took to social media to show the damage and how big the hail was. Some citizens reported skylights being broken in their home and serious damage to vehicles.
