Enjoy the First Week of July at the Buddy Holly Summer Showcase

Summer rages on and that can only mean a few things it's hot but not as hot as the musical stylings of Anthony Garcia.

Anthony Garcia is no stranger to playing at the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase after playing at last years event. Garcia recently released the amazingly rustic and catchy song Devil in my Heart with Megan Berson on violin, Jeremy Fowler on the bass, and Karrie Sheehan on the drums. This star studded crew is super talented that I have no words to describe the sheer once upon a time in a rural place feeling I had over come my body.

The Sound Journey

I obviously have heard Anthony Garcia before since it's not his first rodeo at the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase but I can without a doubt say, WOW! I can't tell what is different this year compared to last but I know that this journey made nostalgic for a time without electricity or cars. It was almost like Anthony Garcia's music enraptured my soul in this cloud of old country/western/desperado style music that I can imagine in a movie with Danny Trejo and Salma Hayek. No, not From Dusk Til Dawn but Garcia's music would fit in the end of that movie or an action packed Texas movie.

The Details

Anthony Garcia will play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Buddy Holly Summer Showcase, located in the Meadows Courtyard at the Buddy Holly Center. Chairs, picnic blankets, pets, outside food and beverages are not allowed but Rollin' Woodfired Pizza food truck will be there selling food and drinks.
