Another week and another show at the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase which means two things. Great food and even better music.

The Band

This week playing at the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase is the original Rock band Mojave Sol. Mojave Sol is comprised of guitarist John Rodriguez, bassist Marin Ramos, Metal drummer Joe Perez, and singer/songwriter Steve Vasquez. These four were able to come together and breath life into their music, which is said to speak the truth about everyday life.

Journey

As always I had to give the band a listen to see what I felt and if I was transported on a mental journey. This was a fun journey! Mojave Sol's sound is so amazing it's like stepping into a rural Texas bar and drinking a beer with Danny Trejo. The sound just feels makes you feel like you are wearing a leather jacket and just relaxes and makes you feel cool. Not just feel cool but opens your soul so that you gain this confidence, I suggest listening to Mojave Sol on a busy Summer afternoon when you need to get an instant recharge.

The Details

Mojave Sol will play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Buddy Holly Summer Showcase, located in the Meadows Courtyard at the Buddy Holly Center. Chairs, picnic blankets, pets, outside food and beverages are not allowed but Tasty Tee's BBQ & Moe food truck will be there selling food and drinks. Admission is free to the public and there will be plenty of activities for kids. Mojave Sol and their music can be found on YouTube and social media.
