Enjoy Mariachi Music and Tacos at the Buddy Holly Summer Showcase

It's almost Thursday which means the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase is almost here and that means plenty of great food and amazing music. This week we have a group of great artists that performed at last year's Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase adding a bit of their personal style to the Summer.

Mariachi Mexico Lindo was founded in 2010 by Oscar Castillo in 2010 and currently has 10 members that all share one goal. That is to share some of the most beautiful Mariachi music with all of Lubbock and the surrounding communities because music is what brings us together. This band doesn't just play Mariachi music but also knows country, motown, and a few other genres to get the crowd up and going.

I obviously had to give them a listen like I always do but this time I compared their music to last year and can hear a sort of difference in their tune which is great. They obviously know what they're doing when it comes to performing. Listening to them this time took me to San Antonio on the river walk enjoying a nice tall glass of water while sitting at a restaurant that has fans that spray mist at you, refreshing.

Mariachi Mexico Lindo will play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Buddy Holly Summer Showcase, located in the Meadows Courtyard at the Buddy Holly Center. Chairs, picnic blankets, pets, outside food and beverages are not allowed but Mi Mesa food truck will be serving food and Lemon Love LBK will be there with the lemonade.

Admission is free to the public and there will be plenty of activities for kids. Mariachi Mexico Lindo can be booked for events and does occasionally play at (my personal favorite restaurant in South Lubbock) Albarran's, to find out when they are playing just head over to their social media page.
