It was a successful two day sweep for the Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center, also known as TAG.

According to a press release by the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, 12 people were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week as the Anti-Gang Unit conducted operations related to suspected criminal activity. The arrests were made at two different Lubbock motels. One in the 1600 block of 38th Street and the other in the 3100 block of Clovis Highway.

According to Lubbock County, operations included the execution of search warrants, foot pursuits and a vehicle pursuit.

The operation resulted in 12 arrests, five firearms seized, narcotics seized, and approximately 100 stolen identification documents recovered. The drugs seized by officers included marijuana, meth, cocaine, and suspected fentanyl.

All 12 people were charged with various crimes. Those arrested included persons that were involved in gangs in Lubbock including West Texas Tango Blasts, Bloods, and Texas Syndicate.
