Tyler Film Fest Hosting 48-Hour Movie Challenge
(Tyler, Texas) The Tyler Film Fest is hosting a special event for aspiring East Texas movie directors, producers, and actors. The 48-Hour Film Fest and Screening is a competition where individuals create an original film in less than 48 hours.
Independent filmmaking is a work of art. Most independent films are made on extremely low budgets and use few special effects, with a more artsy feel as they focus on storytelling rather than relying on flashy visuals and sound effects to convey the message.

What Is the Tyler Film Fest 48-Hour Challenge?
Those looking to participate in the event will have one weekend to create a movie. The challenge will happen Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19. Filmmakers of all experience levels are invited to participate and must consist of two to five people, including actors.
How the 48-Hour Film Challenge Works
The unique thing about this film festival is that all participants will be assigned a genre, required dialogue, and at least one character name by the Tyler Film Fest committee. Filmmakers will then have 48 hours to create, film, and edit the film to five minutes, including opening and closing credits. The competition will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, April 17 and conclude at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 19.
