Donate Pet Food, Adopt a Dog Free in Tyler
(Tyler, Texas) If you want unconditional love in your life, then you need to adopt a dog or a cat, but a cat can be very finicky and judgmental until they warm up to you. I only say that from experience! A dog will be there with its tail wagging every time you walk in the door, though, and happy to see you.
Dogs are always excited to see you and anyone else who comes to visit you.
If you are without a dog, you should consider adopting a dog from a local shelter. Shelter dogs make great pets. Our dog Kara is a rescue dog, and she is the cutest thing there is. Ok, I'll admit that was selfish to say, but I'm a proud dog owner.
Our local shelters are often near capacity, and more of these loving dogs need homes.
Adopting a dog is easier at Tyler Animal Service during May
Adopting a dog is a commitment, but one that will pay you back in ways you'd never imagine. Tyler Animal Services is making adoption much easier during May by waiving the adoption fees with a donation of at least 40 pounds of pet food or cat litter.

All donated food, supplies, and cat litter will benefit the Pet Food Bank and the community.
The Pet Food Bank was established in 2015 so that families in need or those who could not afford to feed their pets would have a safety net to keep pets in their homes. Many times, people who want to surrender a pet to Tyler Animal Control and Shelter only need time to get over a short-term financial hurdle.

Since the inception of the program, more than 15,000 pounds of pet food and litter have been distributed and allowing those in need to keep their pet with them during some difficult times.
