Shreveport Residents Facing Major AT&T Service Interruptions Today

Big problems today for AT&T customers in Louisiana. There has been a widespread outage that’s impacting residents and businesses in Shreveport and Bossier City.

When Did the AT&T Problem Start?

Customers began noticing problems at about 11am on Thursday. In the Shreveport area, the hardest hit zip codes are 71101, 71104, and 71105.

What Other Parts of Louisiana Are Having Issues?

Alexandria and LaSalle Parish have also been hit by this outage.

KALB says they have gotten complaints from dozens of customers who don’t have service today.

AT&T sent out this statement:

Our teams have dispatched and are working as quickly as possible to restore service. We understand how important these services are and appreciate the patience of our customers.

What Has Caused this Problem?

AT&T says this outage today is likely due to damage to the fiber lines. Previous outages have been linked to fiber line disruptions. Some of these have been accidental cuts or possible vandals.
