Texas Named One of the Least Patriotic States in America
Breaking this news on the Fourth of July seems wrong, but Texas we need to do better.

Here I was trying to find a positive Fourth of July story for Texas. I was curious if someone had done the research when it comes to patriotism by state. I really thought Texas would be top ten and we could wave some American flags and call it a day. According to Wallethub, Texas is in the BOTTOM five in America when it comes to patriotism.
Why Did Texas Fall So Low on the List?
I couldn't believe that Texas was the 45th most patriotic state in America. Apparently the survey looked at military service, voters, and volunteerism to get their rankings. So no matter how much red, white, and blue we have flying in Texas. It's not going to matter for the survey.
Voting in Texas Greatly Decreased our Patriotism Ranking
The aspect of this survey that tanked our patriotism numbers to the bottom was the percentage of adults that voted in the 2024 presidential election. Texas had the second lowest percentage in the country, only losing to Arkansas.
Texas Did Get Mentioned in One Positive Category
The one positive thing that Texas gets mentioned in this survey is for the amount of military enlistees by state. Texas has the third most in the country. Only losing out to Alaska and Georgia. Hopefully next year, we can get Texas out of the bottom five in this survey.
