Lufkin Wienerschnitzel Gets New Owners
The largest hot dog franchise in the world, Wienerschnitzel, is changing hands in Lufkin. According to a Facebook post, Monday, July 7th, 2025, will be the last day that Brooke and Brandon Bellow will be running the location.

They have a new opportunity that is taking them south, and closer to Louisiana. Most of their team has decided that they will move on as well, and this will be their last week.
When they first opened in August of 2018, they could never have foreseen what was coming for the restaurant industry in the form of COVID. Now they are passing the torch to a new set of restaurant owners.
Wienerschnitzel In Lufkin Gets New General Manager
One year after opening the Lufkin Wienerschnitzel, they discontinued the banana split shake. If you have ever been to or met anyone from Lufkin, they just won't let you not.
Even though the entire company of Wienerschnitzel stopped making this, locals continued to order it, so they kept making it.
Now, 6 years later, they are still somehow making the banana split shake at the Lufkin location. On Tuesday, a new franchisee and General Manager will take over the store, and it could lead to the discontinuation of the shake, well, because it's been over.
