Felony Arrests In Nacogdoches County June 1 – 7
There are currently 303 inmates at the Nacogdoches County Jail. That number stays fairly consistent, and all the inmates have in common is that they are all innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
There were 12 felony arrests between June 1st - June 7th, 2024. Many inmates were processed this week because of a motion to revoke their probation.
Almost half of them are in jail for not fulfilling their probation obligations. Other notable charges are for drugs, theft, assaulting a police officer, and sexual assault of a child.
Out Of State Drug Arrest In Nacogdoches County
One of the arrests that stood out to me was the case of Roman Shevyakov, 35, from Missouri. He was found to be in possession of more than 4 grams, but less than 200 grams of an illegal substance.

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office is listed as the arresting agency. To me that says he got a long way from home with drugs and didn't have any trouble until he got busted in our Texas county.
Keeping dangerous felony-level drugs off the streets is a key component of law enforcement, and NCSO is upholding that duty for the citizens of Nacogdoches County.
