Though his rise to nationwide fame and his storied time with the Dallas Cowboys are certainly noteworthy, it's his time playing for Oklahoma State in college that has led to recent accolades. According to the Lufkin Daily News, he is one of 79 players from the FBS included on the ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

The announcement came on Monday from the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame. Focusing on Bryant's career in college football shows that he might have this in the bag.

Dez Bryant Should Be Inducted Into The College Football Hall of Fame

Many statistics make Dez a standout Lufkin Panther football player. He only played two entire seasons in Lufkin, yet was still the all-time leader for receiving touchdowns, with 41 under his belt.

Bryant was most remembered for his 2008 sophomore season with OSU. He was a consensus first-team All-American, Big 12 Special Teams player of the year, and a first-team All-Big 12 pick as both a receiver and return specialist. During his junior year in college, he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and after his time there, he was a first-round draft pick for the Dallas Cowboys.
