We tend to forget about bad weather in Texas. It's not like it never happens to us, but it's pretty rare that we get a ton of snow dumped on us and have to deal with below-freezing temperatures.

But...

Today is one of those days.

It was so slick on my way to work this morning that I drove 20 mph under the speed limit. It took forever to get here. While driving, I was thinking about what kind of gear I had in my truck if I were to get stuck somewhere in the cold. I concluded that I was not at all prepared.

What about you? Would you survive for 24 to 48 hours in your vehicle trapped in the snow if you had to? Probably not. I know that I couldn't, based on this list. I really need to try harder.
