Texas Is Weird

For some reason Texas gets portrayed as a place where we have a little more freedom than other states and that is certainly not the case. The fact is, Texas loves to legislate mortality, often cloaking it in the guise of being "to protect the children". I would also state for the record that Texas loves to solve problems that do not exist (to be fair, almost all politicians specialize in solving problems that do not exist).

Texas Is In Your Business

Texas is now proposing that sex toy sales require age verification, The bill is being presented by the senator wife of the Texas Attorney General who is apparently not afraid to look preposterous. Now here's the kicker. Credit cards already require you to be 18 or over, but that's not enough for Texas. This means you'd technically be submitting two forms of I.D. for these novelties.

Texas Politics

What can I say about the ludicrous state of Texas politics? I guess I'll give the crass answer in a minute, but for now, what is going on? I fully believe that these politicians can multitask and work on several problems all at once, but I'm not seeing them working on real problems or things that affect our day-to-day lives; it's always something ridiculous like this.

I promised you I'd give my real feelings...so here you go. If the State of Texas wants to regulate sex toys, let's start with the dildos that waste our tax dollars on stuff like this.
