Prediction Markets See Texas Tech as an 11-Win-Caliber Team

Prediction markets are bullish on TTU this year. Here's a look at some numbers as of today (9/11/2026). Of course, all of these are subject to change:

On Polymarket's Texas Tech 2026 win total market, traders are pricing:

• More than 7.5 wins: ~73%
• More than 8.5: ~92%
• More than 9.5: ~51%
• More than 10.5: ~65%
• More than 11.5: ~35%

So if you are the betting type, 9 wins looks like a sure bet, but it probably won't pay out much. And in other words, these numbers mean that traders are pretty confident that Tech will hit 11 wins, which will make for a very thrilling football season for fans.

Big 12 Championship

Tech currently has a slightly better than 50% chance of winning the Big 12. That's a lot of confidence, but it makes sense, as TTU is defending last season's title and this season's schedule avoids formidable opponents BYU and Utah.

Interestingly, the aforementioned "hiccups" don't seem to be phasing traders on Tech's chances in a significant way. The roster around Will Hammond is strong (and I personally believe Hammond will do great, as he is no longer injured and has a lot to prove).
