If there’s one thing Lubbock can agree on, it’s this: we are tired. It's not "take a nap" tired. No. It's more like “if a robot offered to take over my entire life, I’d at least hear it out,” tired.

We're beat. A robot sounds like a pretty dang good idea...

We asked Lubbock what chore you’d gladly hand off to a robot, and honestly…some of you have zero problem outsourcing everything.

Let's get into it...

Lubbock's Robot Wishlist

The first and most obvious villain: laundry. Nobody, and I mean nobody, wants to wash, dry, fold, or hang up laundry. Multiple people were on board with a robot taking that chore over asap. Right behind that? Dishes. We are all ready to hand off our never-ending supply of dirty dishes.

And then there’s yard work. In Lubbock. In the summer. Picking up dog poop, mowing, pulling weeds. All of these chores suck the life out of you. And, honestly, is there not a robot out there to pick up dog poo yet??

We could call it the "Poo-mba" or something...

Some of you got creative. One person wants a robot that can decide what’s for dinner, and that sounds like a pretty spiffy idea. It would be nice if you could just input the number of people and their allergies, and then bam! Dinner is served...

A few of you didn’t hold back at all: “All of it.” Cleaning, cooking, laundry, deep cleaning, and just tap out completely. Let the robot run the house. Respect. I'm all about that.

And then, of course, there were the real answers: getting out of bed to turn off the light, matching socks that disappear into another dimension, and, one guy said, he just wanted a robot to bring him beers. Simple enough request, don't you think?

At the end of the day, this wasn’t really about chores at all. It was about reclaiming a little time and sanity. Because if a robot can handle the dishes, the laundry, and the yard…maybe we could all kick back a little more. Or, more realistically, just find something else out there to stress about...
