Celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month in Lubbock: Free Resources Beyond Books
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, making it the perfect time to either get your library card in Lubbock or renew an expired one.
A library card goes beyond books (which are wonderful by themselves!), but can also grant you access to e-books, audiobooks, computer/ internet usage, DVDs, community events, and even some tools and cake pans!
Why National Library Card Sign-Up Month Matters

Of course, children greatly benefit from being read to and reading themselves, and our libraries have a wide selection of books for them. You can vastly improve your child's literacy this way and instill in them a love of learning.

I once worked at a library, and part of receiving necessary funds was proving we were "worth" it. How to Get a Library Card in Lubbock
You can get a card on site by showing your state-issued ID. If it has expired, you'll need to bring in a bill with your current address to prove your residence in the counties the Lubbock library serves (which is many!).
