Study Finds Every Lubbock Adult Has One Drawer Full Of Total BS
Scientists have made an incredible discovery: every single Lubbock home contains at least one drawer that is filled with both priceless AND completely useless items.
You can probably picture yours now.
In this drawer, you'll find phone charges for devices they haven't made in decades, mystery keys that lead to nowhere, dried-up pens you were too lazy to toss, random screws, rubber bands, batteries of questionable function, a few expired coupons, and at least 6 Allen wrenches for furniture you don't own anymore.
The mystery? Nobody knows how it starts.
One day, you toss in a few batteries "just in case," and before you know it, you've created a monster.

The strangest part is that all of us are convinced we will truly need something from that drawer one day.
That USB cable from 2008?
It's in there, just waiting for its moment in the sun.
Instruction manual for your daughter's 1994 Easy Bake Oven?
But, of course.
A birthday candle shaped like the number 8?
Absolutely.
The moment someone suggests cleaning it out, suddenly EVERYONE needs something in there, and you had better NOT touch it.
Truthfully, we could all dump that drawer straight into the dumpster and never even notice, but we won't. We will live like this until we die, and then our relatives will inherit the contents of the drawer...and put them into their "special" drawer at home.
On and on.
Forever and ever.
So, if you've got one of these drawers (and I know you do), you aren't a packrat. You're just a normal human being, participating in one of Lubbock's oldest traditions.
