I came across a video posted to TikTok by user @michaelnorsworthyre last February that points out the pros and cons of living in Lubbock, Texas, and I think it's actually pretty accurate. Lubbock isn't a perfect place to live, but there are definitely some upsides that make it worth it.

This TikTok video has been viewed over 63.5k times since it was posted and currently has 185 comments. Check it out below:

So, what do you think? My only complaint is that I don't exactly think we have the greatest weather. Sure, it's usually sunny, but the summertime here is insanely hot. The wind mixed with the heat is like someone holding a blow dryer to your face, sometimes. I'm definitely not a fan.

He also only briefly mentions dust storms (haboobs) that we have around here and says they don't happen as often as people think. I would have to disagree, especially after the last couple of weeks. They have been pretty terrible.

There are a few comments below the video from other TikTok users that seem to feel the same way about the weather as I do:

"Lubbock has the worst weather. Wind, wind, and more wind!"

"Literally in a Lubbock dust storm rn as I type this comment."

"It rains mud in Lubbock once or twice a year."

He is definitely right about the cost of living and the housing market. It's pretty great and it's a huge upside to living in the area. You can save your cash to take trips to more exciting places instead of living in them full-time, and I'm okay with that.

So, what do you think? What pros and cons did he miss? Let me know in a comment below this video on our Facebook page.
