Bubba's 33 Was a Landslide Winner
Out of 52 responses (which actually answered the question), 10 people suggested Bubba's 33 (6210 Slide Rd). I have also enjoyed onion rings from Bubba's, and I can verify they check all the boxes- fresh, hand-cut, hand-battered, and they come to the table piping hot. These are very large, thick-cut onion rings that are served with Bubba's sauce (although you can have them with ketchup if you prefer. Blue Sky At A Very Respectable #2 Slot
Blue Sky (4416 98th St or 3216 4th St) was mentioned 8 times, and it's no wonder why- these are fresh, thin-cut with the light, flaky batter and well-seasoned. I really enjoy these, but I have a very difficult time not opting for their immaculate Frito Pie when I go there. But between Bubba's and Blue Sky, I'd say it's a personal preference between thick and thin- they are both amazing.
