(KNUE-FM) One thing is for sure about Texans, they love their freedom. Most Texans are friendly and willing to help each other. At the same time, most want to just be left alone, so they can live their life in peace.
Who Is Shane From Van in East Texas?
That type of attitude was on full display last week in Lindale, Texas as a popular local was seen meditating on the trunk of his car at Origin Bank.

After reaching out to the man who took the picture I had to share it with you because I had no idea that this guy Shane from Van, Texas is almost like a local celebrity.
East Texans Quickly Defend the Local Personality
While I don’t know Shane personally, he is obviously friends with lots of people in East Texas because many people were quick to defend him for taking a moment to meditate outside the bank. The man who took the photo wanted me to mention that his post was not about making fun of Shane; instead, he was sharing something interesting he saw.
But it’s still pretty awesome that so many people were quick to defend a man who just needed a couple minutes to enjoy his day and find some peace in this stressful world.
Every comment about Shane from Van from the post was positive, speaking to how he is a very friendly person.
There was one person in the comments who mentioned that if you think Shane from Van is interesting, wait until you hear about Naked Norm in Diana. He is another East Texas legend that people love to talk about.
