William Laney Is Latest Caught in the Act Recipient

Pretty certain today was a first for us with Kiss Country's Caught in the Act Award.

We've had children nominate parents for the award, siblings nominate siblings; even parents nominating their child, but today, it was a cousin making the nomination.

Though, not siblings, you can tell that Lauren Blaine looks at her cousin, William Laney, as though they are inseparable brother and sister.

The love and admiration she holds for William was totally unmistakable and when you see the letter she composed about this incredible man, it's easy to see why William was an easy choice as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

I’d like to make the whole country aware of just how special my cousin, William Laney, is. To start, he was born with cerebral palsy and has never been able to walk. He is paralyzed from the waist down. He is as pure as they come and is the most deserving man I know. William has 3 children ages 6,2, and 8 months. His wife is a nurse and works long hours. This man is a miracle worker. He has raised all three babies and no matter how worn out or overwhelmed he is, he does not let it show. This man has prepared bottles overnight, fed and changed all the babies so his spouse can sleep. He has nurtured them and loved them. Done everything your typical mom does, but with limited mobility. On top of the role he plays in taking care of his children, he also cooks for them and cleans. I came to visit one day and he was juggling a two year old while loading three bags of garbage on his four-wheeler to take to the end of his driveway. The amount of work he has to do daily is just unbelievable. He deserves so much credit. I wish I could tell his entire life story and show just how strong of a person he is. There are days I struggle as a mom and see him and it is just so inspiring to see all the obstacles he overcomes daily and still smiles. He puts his wife and children above all things. I just hope his name will be heard and people will flaunt him with recognition. I kid you not; he is a miracle worker. If he has a water leak under his house he will crawl under there and fix it. He is a true inspiration and role model. My words will never succeed in giving the credit this man deserves! We are so proud of you and love you very much Booger Laney!!!!!
