Ringgold Man Arrested Near Lake Bistineau on Multiple Hunting Violations
A Ringgold man recently ran into some Louisiana game wardens and it's an encounter he likely won't soon forget.

According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, enforcement agents were on patrol around Lake Bistineau in Bienville Parish on the night of September 28 when they arrested Dennis J. Laborde, 44, of Ringgold for alleged hunting and illegal firearm possession violations.
During the course of their patrol, LDWF agents observed Laborde hog hunting at night near Lake Bistineau. Agents made contact with Laborde and found that he is under hunting license suspension for unpaid hunting violation fines. Agents also learned that Laborde is a convicted felon and was in possession of a rifle with an illegal sound suppressor.
Agents cited Laborde for hunting while under hunting license suspension, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal use of a firearm, and hunting without a basic hunting license.
