In an announcement from Major League Fishing (MLF), we learn that Shreveport-Bossier will soon host the fourth and final event of the 2025 Fishing Clash Team Series presented by Bass Pro Shops season – the Bass Pro Shops Summit Cup, from Sunday, November 16, through Friday, November 21.

The six-day, two-man team competition, is being hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, and in keeping with traditional MLF Cup protocols, could see competitors on any of the many fisheries within 60 miles of Shreveport-Bossier City.

For those unaware of MLF tournaments of this kind, the competition waters for each day are top secret and only revealed to the anglers as they arrive at the boat ramp each morning. Anglers are driven directly to the day’s competition area launch ramp by their officials.

Of course, that "mystery" will be the topic of many conversations by local anglers over the next few weeks.  Which lakes will they hit?  Caddo, Cross, Lake Bistineau, Black Bayou, Toledo Bend?  Maybe even Red River?  We won't know until the start of each competition day.

We do know that our own local Bossier boy, Nick Lebrun will be featured in the competition so we've certainly got someone to cheer for.

All six days of this November competition will be streamed live on MLFNOW!, starting at 9:00 am each morning and the final period of each day of competition will be broadcast live from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on RFD-TV.
