Denton-based Premier Contractors will begin repairing the concrete, joints and erosion zones on the bridges crossing White Oak Creek on the north and southbound lanes of Highway 59. This is located about a mile north of the exit ramp/Highway 59 rejoin on the south side of Diboll.

Maintenance work on these two bridges is expected to be completed by late September 2025.

The bridge over White Oak Creek on the northbound side of Highway 59 was initially built in 1947, and the southbound bridge was initially constructed in 1962.

This Kurth project is expected to be completed by mid to late December 2025. This will wrap up the completion of all four bridge projects.

The Business 69/Kurth Drive north and southbound bridges were built in 1953 and 1968, respectively.

All four bridges are structurally sound, and this maintenance project will ensure they continue to provide safe routes of travel for years to come.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down in these areas and obey all traffic control for their safety and the safety of workers in the area.
