Okay I have an original thought, if you are asked to sing something important like the "National Anthem", learn the gosh damn words! On Saturday, Canada's national junior hockey tournament in Saskatoon featured one of the worst National Anthem attempts ever.  Some girl named Alexis Normand was tasked with singing the Canadian and American anthems.

She obviously wasn't too familiar with the American one, because she forgot half the lyrics, started and stopped a couple times, sang one part twice, and generally embarrassed herself for a minute and a half. I know some of are saying it would be tough to learn and blahblah blah. I am sorry but if a bunch of kids can learn songs overnight for American Idol then this girls should be able to do the same

Luckily, the crowd started singing along, and she eventually made it through.  After the game, she tweeted,

"I'm embarrassed and deeply sorry.  I wish I'd had more time to learn the American anthem.  Thanks so much for the crowd's help!"
