T.I. was one of the few people in Iggy Azalea's corner. Countless times over the last year, he came to the Aussie rapper's defense when the Twitter beef got serious with people like Q-Tip and Azealia Banks. Now Tip revealed he's distanced himself from Azalea on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning Wednesday (Sept. 16). But apparently this comes as a shock to the "Fancy" rhymer.

"Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him. The first ive heard of us having an 'issue' is via a radio interview," she tweeted Thursday afternoon (Sept. 17). She also added that she thinks the radio isn't the "place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team."

Azalea went to to say that mostly everyone agrees that T.I. was in the wrong even though he doesn't think so. But she assured her followers that it will change soon. "Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin."

This confidence may come from the fact that T.I. is still cashing checks from her music. A source close to her revealed that T.I.'s bank account hasn't been dry when it comes to Azeala. “She didn’t know there was a problem since T.I. is still collecting publishing checks and acting like everything is normal between them,” the source told Global Grind.

In his initial interview with Hot 97, the Grand Hustle leader explained that after he smoothed over things following the hip-hop lesson she received from Q-Tip via Twitter, he decided to break away from Azalea due to her failure to follow his lead. While he hasn't talked to her personally, he is still involved with her on a business level.

"Everything was cool and then they came back and undid. It's not that I got tired of cleaning it up," said Tip. "I’m a loyal partner and if I rock with you I’m going to rock with you. If we right, wrong, we’ll discuss that in the car. We going to get out of here right now, though. That’s just how I am. Right now I’m going to block the bullets, now go. Now when I say ‘Go’...go. Don’t stand around and talk while I’m blocking bullets. You slowing me down."

The Atlanta native says he has no ill will toward The New Classic creator. "In her defense she had a lot thrown at her at one time. Any human being, any where is gonna have a hard time adjusting," who added that she and her team have "the talent, the charisma" to move forward and become successful.

After several controversial Twitter beefs and scrapping her Great Escape Tour, Azalea hasn't released much music since "Pretty Girls" with Britney Spears flopped. She has a new collaboration, "Kingdom Come," with Demi Lovato, but fans can expect new music of her own in 2016. The rapper announced she's shooting the cover art for her next album this week.

Her music career may be full of ups and downs, but her love life is blooming. The 25-year-old is engaged to her longtime boyfriend and Los Angeles Lakers player, Nick Young.
