How to Make Delicious Paletas to Beat the Texas Heat
Spring is here, which means that summer is on its way and the Texas heat will be taking over. I love a nice warm day, but once it gets into the 100s it can be a bit much. This is coming from someone who grew up with 115+ degree summers in Arizona.
There are plenty of ways to beat the heat, like swimming, lounging by a fan or just staying inside in the AC. While those are all great options, nothing beats spending the day in the sun and then enjoying a delicious frozen treat like a fruity paleta. Paletas come in all sorts of flavors and can be water or cream based depending on your preference.
TikToker and food blogger Stella ‘n Spice recently shared some of her favorite paleta recipes to help her deal with the California heat she lives in.
She shared a refreshing looking water-based mangonada paleta along with a creamy strawberry option.
Both look amazing to me and I have to give them a try this summer. If you're a fan of Mexican flavors or just like a like something unique, then you will love the mangonada option. All my ice cream lovers will definitely vibe with the strawberry one.
If you don’t want to go through the hassle of making your own paletas, you should visit the Paleta Bar in the South Plains Mall or Frios right here in Lubbock. Both places serve delicious paletas that are made be professionals so you don’t have to make a mess of your own kitchen.
