This type of idea has been used for decades, but this time around, it's customized for the occasion.

You've heard of buying a brick with your family name or greeting on it. The Buddy Holly Center has twisted this idea into buying a guitar pick. But wait, it gets better. The picks will then be used as part of a permanent art installation at the center.

Some 9,000 picks will be sold, engraved/personalized, then used to create a huge image of Buddy Holly and his guitar for inside the center. The cost of the picks ranges from $100 to $5,000, with sizes varying from standard guitar pick to 7". (As of this writing, the $100 pics are listed as "out of stock," meaning you'll have to step up to $250.)

Don't forget that The Buddy Holly Hall is privately owned and operated.
