Here You Go Fatties Your Top 3 Lay’s “Do Us a Flavor” Nationwide Contest Winners

For the past year the Lay's potato chips has asked a simple question of you, "What flavor should we make?". The requests have been tabulated and tested and the Top 3 flavors are  Cheesy Garlic Bread, Chicken & Waffles and Sriracha.  We had a Frito Lay rep in the KISS studio today and he brought us a small bag of each. Here is the Townsquare Media family's reaction.

Cheesy Garlic Bread:

I have to admit that I am not a huge potato chip fan, so I called in my friends Ty and Alan.  After an entire bad was eaten, the synopsis was that the Cheesy Garlic Bread tasted a lot like the Cheddar Sour Cream flavor that has been around for a long time. Strong Cheddar flavor and not so much a garlic. This one was a bust in our studio.

Srirachia:

If you like it spicy and I mean Thailand spicy then the Sriracha is the way to go. My tasters Ty and Alan went on and on about the Thai spice that lasted way past the chip itself. Ten minutes after he had eaten a handful he said the flavor and spice was still on his tongue. Alan simply thought they were good while Ty wanted to know where to go and get them! With the popularity of Thai cuisine right now the "Sriracha": flavor is going to be huge.

Chicken and Waffles:

I had to save the best for last. The Chicken and Waffles flavor will win the nationwide vote hands down. There is something about the salty, savory and sweet flavors all combined in your mouth that explodes on your taste buds. I promise you they really do taste like chicken and waffles. All three of us that tasted agreed that it was the best and I have a feeling that potheads around the world will unite under this one.
