Have You Seen These Weird New Stop Signs?
Okay, quiet about the vertical video. For safety's sake, it was the only way I could hold my phone at the time.
TxDOT just stationed a bunch of these puppies on the I-27 and Loop access road intersections in North Lubbock. We have a four-way situation that, for some reason, confuses the heck out of people and has resulted in tons of accidents and some deaths.
It's awesome to see TxDOT (and/or whatever highway companies) embrace this technology. The stop signs are obviously solar-powered and a great attention-getter.
To my friends who travel in this area, my best guess is these are temporary and there are some real traffic lights on the way.
