Gunshot Victim Taken to Lubbock Hospital After Reports of Shots Fired Monday Afternoon
Lubbock Police were called out Monday afternoon (June 25) to a central Lubbock neighborhood for reports of shots fired.
Police responded to 22nd Street and Avenue O just after noon. Police found a gunshot victim with a wound to the chest.
The victim, identified as 28-year-old Michael Baker, was taken to Covenant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, "it appears there was an argument between several individuals, at which point one of the individuals produced a gun and began firing, injuring Baker in the process."
Lubbock Police are still investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
