It seems that there's a new Fresh Prince reboot on the way— only the "Fresh Prince" will now be the "Fresh Princess."

TMZ reports that the team in control of the Fresh Prince has filed trademark applications that look to lock down rights to the "Fresh Princess" for a television program and "virtually every other media platform." Beyond that, they're also looking to trademark the name for a lot of merchandise, including bags, backpacks, animal collars, clothing and footwear.  So this new version is most likely a definite go.

This isn't the first time that a Fresh Prince reboot has been teased. Previously, the Fresh Prince team trademarked Fresh Prince toys, fueling speculation that an animated version of the popular 90s sitcom could be in the works, especially when Will Smith endorsed the drawings on IG.

There's no word right now on whether Will Smith will be involved. But as of late, there've been a lot of 90s sitcoms being remade-- including Full House and Boy Meets World, which also now includes a female lead.

It'll be interesting to see how this reboot pans out.
