Former Lubbock Maintenance Man Indicted for Sexually Assaulting Epileptic Woman
A former maintenance man was indicted on Tuesday (May 15) for sexual assault, a second degree felony.
The Lubbock Police Department says 45-year-old Robert Lopez-Parker posed as a maintenance man for the apartment complex he used to work as one for, and gained access to a woman’s apartment to sexually assault her.
The woman reportedly suffers from epilepsy and requires a caretaker.
According to Everything Lubbock, Lopez-Parker was previously convicted of failing to register as a sex offender in 2013 and ordered to serve 46 months in federal prison. Additionally, the site reports he had a previous conviction for child molestation in Washington.
Lopez-Parker was indicted by a Lubbock Grand Jury and is being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. If convicted, he faces two to 20 years in prison.
