America will celebrate another year of independence next month. To be prepared for day turning to night on the 4th of July, firework sales will begin on June 24th, 2020 in the State of Texas.

Barring some sort of catastrophe, Lubbock County can observe the celebration of American pride and unity with fireworks. Keep in mind that the possession and/or use of fireworks inside the city limits of Lubbock, other municipalities or special districts, is illegal. Violators could face fines of up to $1,000, and you must be at least 16 years old in order to purchase fireworks legally.

As a reminder to citizens of the City of Lubbock, a message from officials with Lubbock Fire Rescue and Fire Marshal Office explains the rules relating to the use of fireworks inside the city limits.
