Looking for a new house? What about some inspiration for what you can do with your current home? Or maybe you just like to see what some of the new homes in Lubbock are looking like? This weekend is your chance to take in the 2021 Parade of Homes.
The West Texas Home Builders Association Parade of Homes wraps up on Sunday, August 1st and if you haven't checked out the homes yet, you are missing out. The Parade of Homes features homes in three different subdivisions. There is Sedona at 146th and Quaker. Escondido Ranch at 50th and Alcove, and Windsor at Preston Manor located at FM 179 and 66th Street.
You can tour the homes until 9:00 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and then on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults while kids 2-12 years old are $5. 2 years and under are free.
Here are a few tips for touring the homes.
First, wear shoes that can be easily removed. Most of these homes require that you take shoes off or wear shoe coverings while inside. Second, food and drinks are not allowed inside the homes. You also can't bring in any pets, so leave your four-legged friends at home. Also, no smoking. It's not your house. And no strollers are allowed either. Another tip that can save you time, plan your route in advance so you can see as many homes as possible. That's why you are going right? Finally, look around for giveaways, surveys, and other ways to participate during the Parade of Homes.
