Texas Congressman Tells Donald Trump to Take His Wall and Shove It
We're bold. We're proud. We're Texans.
While we often like to call it like it is, does it seem a bit hypocritical to get as heated and vitriolic as the person you loathe when writing an open letter to the person in question?
Texas Congressman Filemon Vela, a democrat from the bordertown of Brownsville, may have let his emotions get the best of him when penning an letter to Donald Trump that ended with this paragraph:
I would like to end this letter in a more diplomatic fashion, but I think that you, of all people, understand why I cannot. I will not presume to speak on behalf of every American of Mexican descent, for every undocumented worker born in Mexico who is contributing to our country every day or, for that matter, every decent citizen in Mexico. But, I am sure that many of these individuals would agree with me when I say: "Mr. Trump, you're a racist and you can take your border wall and shove it up your ass."
What do you think? Is this going too far, or was this done in the fashion that only Donald Trump could bluntly understand; the language of a proud Texan?
