Federal Operation Ends With Ten Charged; One Still At Large
On Thursday, October 15, it was announced that ten people from Lubbock had been charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and various other drug-related crimes.
KAMC News reports that Operation Los Perros De Nieve targeted nine locations in Lubbock. Around $40,000 in cash, 11 pounds of cocaine and 13 firearms were seized.
Nine members of a drug trafficking organization were arrested on Wednesday, October 7th as part of the operation organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Five defendants have been charged with gun crimes, including possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition.
All nine that have been charged are listed below:
- 28-year-old Ronnie Manuel Garcia, Jr.
- 34-year-old Jonathan Phillip Reyes "J.P."
- 34-year-old Raul Perez, III "Raulo"
- 35-year-old Krystal Lynn Ramos
- 40-year-old Amy Shawn Rodriguez
- 35-year-old Juan Moncada
- 28-year-old Jacob Anthony Molina
- 34-year-old Jeremy Wayne Beck "Lil Jay"
- 38-year-old Michael Paul Perez.
If convicted, the defendants face maximum sentences of up to 40 years, or life for some, in federal prison for just the drug-related offenses. They face up to 10 years or life for the firearm-related offenses.
