
Escaped Inmate Causes Plainview School Lockdown
Authorities are searching for 36-year-old Charlie Davis, a trustee at the regional office who escaped from the Region 5 Office in Plainview.
Davis was discovered missing during a routine check at 9:20 a.m. this morning according to Robert Hurst with the department of criminal justice in Huntsville.
The Plainview Independent School District is on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
All school doors are locked and no one will be permitted to leave or enter campuses and students will not being going outdoors said Jan Seago, a district spokeswoman.
The public is asked to contact local law enforcement if they spot Davis.
Davis is serving a two-year sentence for theft of property from Swisher County.
