In the days after any season, players like to reflect on the season that just finished. We'll see players all over the country today declare for the NBA Draft, or graduating players like Matt Mooney thank their schools.

One such player, Davide Moretti, who isn't likely declaring for the NBA draft or graduating this year, reflected on the team's magical season.

"I always give everything I’ve got," Moretti opened in a Facebook post to his page," adding, "and that’s probably why I will never lose." The emotional letter to fans continued: "The best is yet to come, and what just happened can only make me stronger and help me achieve my dreams."

Moretti finished by thanking the fans, internationally, for the support. "I had an entire country cheering me on and nothing can describe how proud and glad I was to represent it on that court," he said. "Thank you all, your support has been unreal and I will always remember it."

The sophomore guard finished by thanking his teammates: "I will always be grateful and thankful for the family that I had a chance to share this beautiful journey with, my brothers had my back, every single time, and some of them, every day.. it means the world to me, because I sacrificed everything I had and y’all are everything that I have here.

Hopefully, this emotionally-charged letter is an acknowledgement of a great sophomore season, and not a goodbye letter as Davide moves on to his burgeoning professional career.

The most improved player in the country was a huge part of Texas Tech's run through the NCAA Tournament, the Big 12 Championship, and some of the biggest moments in Texas Tech basketball history. If this is a Texas Tech career for Davide, he will go down with Jarrett Culver and Zhaire Smith as part of the transformational class that elevated the Red Raiders to new heights.

If it's not goodbye and just a thank you note, well, buckle in, cowboys, because the Italian Stallion is going to be one of the best players in the Big 12 next season and will be hell-bent on matching, and exceeding, the success of this past season.
