Construction Is Underway for a New Steakhouse at Lubbock’s Old Cattle Baron

Back in October, we reported that we finally figured out what was coming to the old Cattle Baron location at Kingsgate Center and everyone got super excited. I know we all miss Cattle Baron, but I'm glad to know the building won't be vacant much longer.

The week of March 21st construction finally started on the building. We're excited things are finally moving forward. Hopefully the new restaurant is that much closer to getting ready to serve the Lubbock community.

I took this picture above on the morning of March 24th and it looks like things are finally underway, with lots of cars parked around the former Cattle Baron. You can't really see exactly what it is, but hopefully we'll know very soon so we can all try Corralito Steak House.

Back in October 2021, an employee with Corralito Steak House's El Paso location said they were looking to open a restaurant here in Lubbock in January 2022. But that date has come and gone. We reached out to three different people at Graco Real Estate Development and Corralito Steak House corporate, but still haven't heard back to get 100 percent confirmation on when they will be opening.

For those who don't know, Corralito Steak House has served the El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua community for more than 25 years. They have a variety of food and drinks on their menu. Currently, there are only six Corralito locations, and they're only in those two cities...until now.

While I haven't eaten at Corralito yet, just looking at their menu's mouth-watering pictures makes everything looks delicious. There are just so many options. I look forward to trying out Corralito Steak House when they open right here in the Hub City.
