Colorado Theater Massacre — Victims’ Names Coming Out

The names of the victims of Friday’s movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado are starting to be revealed.

A dozen people were killed when a man, believed to be James Holmes, walked into the theater and opened fire, killing a dozen people and injuring more than 50. The theater was packed with people watching a midnight screening of the highly-anticipated film ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

Among the victims identified:

• Veronica Moser, 6. Her mother, Ashley, 25, remains in critical condition and does not know her daughter has died.
• Jessica Ghawi, 24
• Alex Sullivan, 27
• Matt McQuinn, 27
• Micayla Medek, 23
• John Larimer, 27
• AJ Boik, age not specified

Holmes has been taken into custody. He reportedly purchased 6,000 rounds of ammunition on the internet in the weeks leading up to the shooting, as well as four guns at area stores — all of which police say he legally purchased.
