City of Lubbock to Hold COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Over the course of the next five days, the City of Lubbock Health Department is holding two separate COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

The first is Saturday, May 29 at the South Plains Mall from 1pm-5pm. According to the Health Department, the clinic will be located near the main entrance by Barnes & Noble.

The 1st & 2nd doses of Moderna and the one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will be offered to adults ages 18 & up. For those needing to receive their second dose of Moderna, they will need to bring their COVID-19 vaccination card to receive the vaccine.

The second COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held Wednesday, June 2 from 2pm-6pm at the Broadway Church of Christ at 1924 Broadway.

The vaccination clinic at the Broadway Church of Christ is for walk-in patients.

And just like at previous City of Lubbock Health Department vaccine clinics, the 1st & 2nd doses of Moderna and the one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will be offered to adults ages 18 & up. For those needing to receive their second dose of Moderna, they will need to bring their COVID-19 vaccination card to receive the vaccine.

Through Friday, May 28, the City of Lubbock Health Department reports: 109 active COVID-19 cases in Lubbock County, 5 of those cases were reported on Friday, and 730 deaths have occurred. 49,319 total cases have been reported in Lubbock County and 48,480 cases are listed as recovered.

The 20-29 age group has reported the most number of COVID-19 cases in Lubbock County at 12,531. The second-highest age grouping is the 30-39 age group, with 7,995 cases.
