Feather Found in Lubbock Restaurant’s Food
Two Lubbock diners received a shock when they discovered a white feather sticking out of chicken they ordered at a local eatery.
The diners, 15-year-old Zane Salazar and his mother, discovered the feather on a piece of chicken they had ordered at Chicken Express on 82nd Street and Milwaukee Avenue.
The owner of the Chicken Express, Robert Kollman, was apologetic for the oversight, saying employees overlooked the feather.
"We try to do the best we can and and we want to make good on our mistakes," said Kollman.
According to Kollman, feathers often originate from the company that processes the chicken. Employees are instructed to remove them before cooking and serving chicken to customers, he said.
